EIPM is honoured and happy to announce that our Institute has been awarded with the Global Standard for Professional Competence in Purchasing and Supply Accreditation by IFPSM, the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management, for our Executive MBA and Certification Programmes.
The official announcement was made during the Graduation ceremony for the EIPM Global Executive MBA 2016-2017 cohort.
Malcolm Youngson, CEO of IFPSM, was a special guest during the ceremony and was invited to share a few words with the audience and to help in awarding the diplomas to the graduates.
In Bernard Gracia’s words: “We thank very much IFPSM for their trust vis-à- vis EIPM. It is an honour and a pleasure to have been accredited by the Standard Board. The EIPM team and I are ready to work with and for the IFPSM – we have a lot of things to realize jointly. A special thanks to Malcolm, who honoured us with his presence during our 2017 Executive MBA Graduation – we have a common interest in our vision and also a real fit between your way of thinking and our DNA: Human is at the centre.”
The Accreditation was granted for our two standard programmes: the EIPM Global Executive MBA Specialised in Purchasing and Supply Management and the EIPM Certification Programmes.
EIPM’s path to the IFPSM Accreditation started two years ago and followed through a detailed assessment of our programmes, regarding content, faculty, delivery and continuous improvement practices.
The process also included a site visit and interviews with Board members, faculty fellows and alumni.
The Global Standard is a quality standard for Purchasing and Supply Chain Educational Programmes. It sets out the mix of knowledge, learning and skills against which educational programmes in Purchasing and Supply Management can be assessed and accredited.
Programmes meeting the Global Standard have objectively demonstrated their ability to equip students and candidates with the knowledge, skills, attributes and characteristics of a Purchasing and Supply Management professional.
The recognition also marks the programme as one that has clear and transparent criteria for programme content, design, delivery and assessment.
The International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM) is the union of 45 national and regional purchasing associations worldwide, who have around 200,000 purchasing professionals as members.
IFPSM facilitates the development and distribution of knowledge to elevate and advance the procurement profession, thus favourably impacting the standard of living of citizens worldwide through improved business practices.
