The 6th edition of the EIPM Peter Kraljic Awards of Excellence took place on the 10th of December 205.
The EIPM Peter Kraljic Awards recognise purchasing organisations across the world for their outstanding practices and for modelling the way forward. The awardees are selected according to a strict and fact based process using the EIPM Assessment Tool structured on the EFQM Business Excellence Model. Professional assessors lead on-site audits, and the winners are elected by a Jury chaired by Peter Kraljic and composed of industry leaders and purchasing experts.
This year’s winners are Purchasing organisations from Croatia, France, Portugal and Saudi Arabia:
Change Leadership and Value Creation – SAUDI TELECOM COMPANY
This award recognises STC Procurement’s remarkable and rapid transformation; their practices have an outstanding impact on the company budget process and their structured processes are supported by robust systems.
System and Process Excellence – EDP
EDP Group Procurement Unit has proven to be a global value partner for the 430 partner companies with a very effective and integrated system driving standardization, efficiency and value delivery. As a highlight of their practices are Corporate Negotiation Committee meetings.
Sustainable Value Creation – L’ORÉAL
L’Oreal’s Consumer Goods Purchasing team has developed innovative and successful solutions for sustainability with full involvement from suppliers and end-customers. Strong points of their performance are their solid team spirit, a design for sustainability and manufacturing, their “P&L contribution” recognized by the business and their expense efficiency programme.
The Organisation of the Year – ATLANTIC GRUPA
The Organisation of the Year award acknowledges a remarkable overall performance. Atlantic Grupa excels on their interactions with the different internal partners, focusing on people management and collaborative relationships with suppliers. Their practices of budget management for business units to invest in the right place, sustainable sourcing and risk management with ERM are also notable.
Bernard Gracia delivered a speech congratulating the participants for their efforts and contribution to the strategic role of Purchasing, as he believes this kind of initiative contributes to the visibility and external recognition Procurement Organisations deserve.
The awards were handed to the winners by Markus Erich Bing and Manuela Reck, from Robert Bosch, the 2014 EIPM Peter-Kraljic Award Winner for Organisation of the Year.
